"If my mother
put on a helmet and shoulder pads and a uniform that wasn't the same as the
one I was wearing, I'd run over her if she was in my way. And I love my
mother."

Each athlete is responsible for bringing their own equipment (full football gear, including fitted mouthpiece). If you are a member of a youth
football league (not your school), your team should be able to provide you with the needed equipment. If not, athletes can rent the equipment at camp for an extra $25. Please note on your application if you plan to rent equipment.
Equipment rental includes helmet, shoulder pads, hip, knee and thigh
pads, as well as pants and a practice jersey if needed.
In addition, each athlete should bring t-shirts, shorts, football shoes, tennis shoes, sheets and pillows for twin beds, and anything else needed for a three night stay. Spending money for concessions at the vending machines, or other extra curricular activities that might be part of the camp, including the possibility of a sporting goods store on site. All spending money can be checked in with the camp "bank," and withdrawn at various times during the camp. If you have any questions feel free to contact us at info@jjdsports.com.
There will be an equipment rental
form, as well as a camp bank form posted on this site that each athlete will need to fill out.
Housing
All
campers and instructors will stay in the dormitories at Pratt Community
College during their week of camp, and have full access to all the
fantastic facilities on campus. There will be two athletes per
room, and if your son has a roommate preference be sure to list it on
your application. Roommate requests are guaranteed until April
1st, after that it is still possible to get your request but it will
depend on space and whether or not your potential roommate has signed
up. All meals during the week of camp will take place at the PCC
cafeteria.

Activities
During the course of the week we plan to have different skills competitions, games, and speakers
with awards at the end of the week. There will also be a pizza party during orientation on the
first day that parents are welcome to attend, as well as other social activities that take place
throughout the week to give the players a break from the football work. There will be a pool
party that all the players will attend, as well as a movie night at the local movie
theatre! We are also planning a hamburger feed on the last
day before the live game takes place for all parents to attend,
where
the proceeds will go to benefit a local organization. Stay tuned
for more information on this new exciting event!
2007 Instructors
(2008
coaches coming soon)
We always try to bring in a nice mix of youth coaches, high school coaches, college coaches, and
college players from schools in mostly the Big 12 conferences
if available. The camper to instructor ratio is never more than 10:1, and at most camps is closer
to 6:1. At prior camps, we've had coaches from colleges such as:
Fort Hays State, Emporia State University, Washburn University, Hutchinson Community
College, current San Diego Chargers Running Back Darren Sproles, and
former KU player Harrison Hill. Please keep checking back to see who we add to our fantastic
coaching staff.
